Looks like someone is feeling 17 again.
Speaking with E!News to promote his upcoming movie 'Firestarter', Zac Efron took a look back on one of his signature projects – 'High School Musical'. And it certainly seems that the actor would jump in on a reboot, should he get a chance to return to the role of Troy Bolton.
"Seriously, having the opportunity in any form to go back and work with that team would be so amazing. My heart's still there. That would be incredible. I hope it happens," Efron said.
Now that's a strong statement… especially coming from someone who never attended a reunion special.
Efron's sentiment did not meet understanding from everyone.
But some fans clearly loved the idea.
'High School Musical' is one of the iconic movies of the late '00s, being a modern adaptation of 'Romeo and Juliet', but set in a high school and involving a great deal of singing. After its 2006 release, the film became the most commercially successful Disney Channel original movie.
