It's obvious that Disney is the most powerful and successful Hollywood studio to ever exist, but how much more money has the House of Mouse made than the likes of Universal and Paramount?
The answer to this question has always been unclear due to the gradual rise in inflation rates, making it impossible to definitively rank the most successful movies Disney has ever created.
Luckily, we decided to do a little box office math and come up with a list of the top 20 Disney films, adjusted for inflation:
As you probably noticed, most of the entries on this list are parts of massive franchises, with only a few being original works. Moreover, the top spots are firmly occupied by MCU and Star Wars titles, which won't surprise anyone, but still leaves a bad taste in the mouths of true Disney fans, as neither of these franchises were created by Disney.
In any case, with such insane multi-billion grosses, it's clear that Disney's hypetrain has no intention of stopping anytime soon, and with both the MCU and Star Wars franchises continuing to evolve, it's more than likely that new films will be added to this list as the years go by.
