Jessica Radloff's oral history book has made some noise, and we can still see the ripples.

In 2022, the world saw The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series shed light on plenty of interesting on-set facts and details. Here are three of the most fascinating ones.

1. This TBBT Star Had a Major Case of Déjà Vu on Set

Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco parted ways in 2010, and the writers of The Big Bang Theory coincidentally decided to break Leonard and Penny up, too.

Everyone wanted to be respectful of the actors' feelings, but they had nothing to worry about: both Galecki and Cuoco stayed professional during filming!

The weird thing was that the on-screen split was "oddly similar" to what happened IRL, and Kaley even thought that there must have been cameras because "things felt eerily close to home."

2. We Could've Had It All If This A-Lister'd Guest Starred

None other than Selena Gomez herself is a huge TBBT fan! Steven Molaro even tried to arrange her cameo appearance on the show, and he had the best idea in mind.

Although he didn't get a chance to present it to her, the showrunner envisioned Selena as Amy's evil stepsister who would've made Amy just downright seethe with jealousy and rage.

Unfortunately, Gomez's schedule was full, and we never got this gem of an episode.

3. Sheldon's Sexual Orientation Was Supposed to Be Different

No, he was never gay if that's what you're thinking. The creator of the show, Chuck Lorre, actually advocated that Sheldon be asexual. He thought that nothing and no one could top Cooper's relationship with learning and science.

Well, Amy certainly changed things up for him! Imagine if Sheldon did turn out to be asexual… Would he have less character growth? Maybe. Or his personality might have gone in a completely different direction.

It's details like these that prove how much we still don't know about the series. Do we need another book? We think we wouldn't mind it in another couple of years when things settle down.

Well, Young Sheldon might be coming to an end soon, so maybe more revelations are just around the corner?
