Wednesday and Ajax’s actors caused quite a stir with a rumour of them having starred in a 2016 Disney Channel TV series, but there might have been a mere name confusion.

Netflix’s Wednesday is arguably one of the most anticipated releases this year, so no wonder its leading cast’s previous acting credits are being seen through by the show’s multiple fans.

Since Enid’s love drama with Georgie Farmer’s Ajax in the ongoing second season is what causing quite many speculations about where the series will go further, the actor himself has become a frequent source of speculations, including those that claimed he’d starred in Disney Channel’s Stuck in the Middle alongside his Wednesday’s co-star Jenna Ortega.

This, however, was a pretty confusing bombshell from those who mistook George Farmer for Georgie Diaz, one of the older sisters of Jenna Ortega’s Harley Diaz.

Don’t worry though — Farmer has lots of other notable titles in his filmography you can watch in between Wednesday’s season 2 parts.

Even though Tim Burton’s show brought the actor his breakout role, it’s not the first time you could have seen him on the screen — you might have just not paid attention.

In fact, Farmer’s first major role was in a Disney Channel TV series too — the mystery drama show titled The Evermoor Chronicles starred the actor in one of the leading roles and eventually spawned two seasons, wrapping back in 2017.

Apart from that, Farmer had a minor role in Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One and voiced a wolf in Warner Bros.’ 2018 adventure movie Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle.

Georgie Farmer’s Ajax quickly turned into one of the most beloved characters among Wednesday fans, and in the second season he’s finally getting the much-deserved development.

Introduced as a side character in the show’s first season, Ajax has been in a pretty vulnerable position ever since, struggling to his gorgon-ish snakes under control and thus failing to find some real friends.

However, this also taught him to treat his fellow outcasts right despite all the drama Enid is causing for him, according to Farmer.

“You know, going through high school is such a transformative experience for everyone. So imagine going through high school but also having to deal with having snakes on your head. I really feel for him”, the actor revealed in an interview with Vogue Singapore ahead of Wednesday’s season 2 part 1 release.

Talking about the matter further, Farmer stressed that, despite their not so usual nature, Wednesday’s characters eventually prove themselves very human, and that’s the thing to thank Tim Burton for.

“Like these characters are obviously in a very heightened world and heightened situations, but there is a real humanity to each character, you know? I think that is what is so genius about Tim’s work. Together with what Miles and Al wrote for the show, it’s clear that there is a real grounding of humanity in that school”, the actor said.

Wednesday’s season 2 part 2 is arriving on Netflix on September 3.
