From The Crown to Berlin.

The pre-Christmas rush is no reason to miss out on the new projects that Netflix will be bringing us in December.

We've chosen five of the brightest and most anticipated projects so you don't get lost in the shuffle.

1. The Crown – Season 6 Part 2

Release Date: December 14th

Seven years after its premiere, The Crown, one of the most successful series of the last decade, is coming to an end. Critics accused the fifth and the first half of the sixth season of standing still. However, the main thing is that viewers continued to watch the historical drama.

Despite the death of Elizabeth II last year, the creators will put an end to it much earlier than 2022 – it was reported that the show would end in the mid-2000s. That makes it all the more fascinating – viewers are eager to find out where and how exactly the creators will end the epic story of 60 years.

2. Gyeongseong Creature – Season 1 Part 1

Release Date: December 22nd

After the success of Squid Game, Netflix stepped up production and funding of Korean projects. However, only the zombie horror All of Us Are Dead became a hit. The list may continue with the historical blockbuster Gyeongseong Creature.

The drama will tell the story of the Japanese colonization of Korea. In 1945, a man and a woman try to survive and stop a monster of gigantic proportions that appeared out of nowhere. The trailer looks just like most modern Korean projects: intriguing and stylish. Netflix believes in the show so much that the studio not only split the season into two parts, but also renewed the project for a second season.

3. Hilda – Season 3

Release Date: December 7th

In December, Hilda, an adaptation of Luke Pearson's comic book series about a girl who lives in a fantasy world inhabited by creatures from Scandinavian mythology, will return for its final third season.

The animated show never became a big hit, but it built up a loyal fan base and even got a feature-length sequel – in 2021, the movie Hilda and the Mountain King was released on Netflix. The upcoming finale is the perfect opportunity to get to know this fascinating franchise.

Another good reason to give the show a chance is the participation of Bella Ramsey, known for her starring role in The Last of Us, who gave her voice to Hilda.

4. Carol & The End of the World – Season 1

Release Date: December 15th

In December, the series of animated releases will continue not only with Hilda, but also with the animated series Carol & The End of the World. This is the new project of Dan Guterman, the writer of Rick and Morty and Community.

According to the plot, humanity is preparing for the apocalypse – an unknown planet is hurtling toward Earth. While people embody their wildest desires, middle-aged Carol tries to find some meaning in life, at least in the last weeks of her existence.

5. Berlin – Season 1

Release Date: December 29th

Netflix will end 2023 with an ace up its sleeve – the release of the Money Heist spin-off, one of the most popular series in its history. When Netflix bought the Spanish hit, the second season had already ended, and the creators made their biggest mistake – they killed the most charismatic character, Berlin.

In later seasons, the character often returned in flashbacks. But a full-fledged prequel show about what happened before the events of the main story is, of course, incomparably more exciting. Berlin assembles a team to pull off one of the most daring heists in history and steal 44 million euros worth of jewelry.
