Hated 'And Just Like That' Finale? These 8 TV Endings Are Even Worse

These are our beloved series that managed to ruin everything at the very last moment.
And Just Like That has ended after three seasons, and the already poorly rated series received the lowest score for its finale, the episode “Party of One," with 4.4/10 on IMDb.
However, there have been worse TV series finales that have angered fans and broke their hearts.
1. 'True Blood', 2008-2014
IMDb Score: 7.9/10
In its first seasons, True Blood showed how unusual and unique vampires could be on TV. However, its golden age ended quickly, and the series turned into a vampire soap opera.
Fans had their hopes high, but the True Blood finale angered even the most devoted viewers. It gave us a happy ending in which the main character kills her lover and lives happily ever after with a man viewers had never seen before.
2. 'Dexter', 2006-2013
IMDb Score: 8.6/10
By Season 8, fans had forgotten why they started watching the show about a righteous serial killer. The dark realism, twisted plot, and interesting characters had left Dexter, leaving only Michael C. Hall's brilliant acting.
But the worst was yet to come. The final episodes of Season 8 enraged all viewers. First, the creators made us roll our eyes at the plot twists – Deb died, and Dexter stole her body – and the unnecessary flashbacks. Then, they gave us Dexter living out his days as a sad lumberjack.
3. 'Quantum Leap', 1989-1993
IMDb Score: 8.2/10
In each episode, Sam Beckett traveled to a different point in the past. He found himself inside another person's body and had to complete a task. However, Sam couldn't return home.
Fans hoped that, in the finale, he would either return home or the purpose of his journey would be revealed.
Ultimately, however, viewers were simply told that Sam never returned to his time. As a result, fans were left without a satisfactory explanation or happy ending.
4. 'Seinfeld', 1989-1998
IMDb Score: 8.9/10
Ironically, a "show about nothing" ended with something serious that went against its own rules. One of the most-watched finales in history turned out to be a moralizing episode.
The beauty of Seinfeld was that, for nine seasons, the characters never learned from their mistakes. For some reason, however, Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld decided to put the main characters in jail at the end of the show.
5. 'Scrubs', 2001-2010
IMDb Score: 8.4/10
Season 8 of Scrubs ended just perfectly – teetering on the fine line between sparkling comedy and grandiose drama. J.D. accepted an offer to leave Sacred Heart, and he spent his last days saying goodbye to his friends.
Each character gave J.D. a warm farewell, and he spent the last minutes of the episode leaving the clinic and watching scenes of his happy future.
The finale was incredibly touching, but it was ruined by the unnecessary ninth season dedicated to the lives of young interns. It could have been a reboot or spin-off of Scrubs, but it should not have been a continuation.
6. 'Killing Eve', 2018-2022
IMDb Score: 8.1/10
Over the course of four seasons, the relationship between MI5 agent Eve and sociopathic killer Villanelle had many twists and turns.
This transformation affected both of them: Eve became bolder, and Villanelle almost learned how to communicate with people.
Unfortunately, the writers acted in the most boring way in the finale. Not only does Villanelle die, but she also literally covers Eve with her body to save her. It's difficult to imagine a more typical and clichéd ending.
7. 'How I Met Your Mother', 2005-2014
IMDb Score: 8.3/10
During its first and best seasons, How I Met Your Mother was considered a worthy successor to Friends. The lives of five best friends from New York reached new heights with each season. However, somewhere around the sixth season, the show began to decline.
Fans were still eagerly awaiting the final story of Ted and his future wife, whom he crossed paths with often over the course of eight seasons.
However, fans were not ready for such an ending. Ted tells his kids that after ten happy years, their mother dies and Barney cheats on Robin. The children have no choice but to allow Ted to pursue Aunt Robin again, which he does.
8. 'Alf', 1986-1990
IMDb Score: 7.4/10
The unfortunate ending of Alf is not the creators' fault; the episode simply fell victim to circumstances. The fourth season was intended to conclude with a cliffhanger, similar to those in '80s alien comedies, but something went awry.
In the final episode, Alf was going to meet his friends from the planet Melmac, but the secret service scared them off and eventually captured Alf. This could have been a good ending to the season.
However, the show was not renewed for a fifth season, so Alf's capture remained a tragic and heartbreaking ending that broke more than one fan's heart.
