Only the biggest comedic gems from one of the greatest sitcoms in history.

Most of the jokes on Brooklyn Nine-Nine are based on the incompetence of the precinct staff. Jake, Boyle, Gina and other Brooklyn cops constantly make mistakes and Captain Holt tries to teach them how to work.

In addition to the ridiculous situations, fans had a lot of fun with the constant references to popular culture. In the middle of an interrogation, Jake and Terry can start discussing Taylor Swift, and in the third season, an entire episode becomes a tribute to Die Hard.

We remembered the funniest episodes of the sitcom, which made millions of viewers fall in love with the show.

5. The Bet – Season 1 Episode 13

One of the best episodes of the first season has a very simple premise: police officers compete to see who can catch the most criminals. Jake wins and takes Amy out on what is obviously the worst date of their lives. The evening doesn't go according to plan – the couple has to catch yet another criminal.

In this episode, the relationship between Amy and Jake reaches a new level – Jake forces Amy to do a dance from Titanic in front of the entire bar without any preparation, and then promises to take her somewhere to pet tigers.

4. Yippie Kayak – Season 3 Episode 10

The pre-Christmas episode turns into a robbery story. Peralta, Boyle and Gina find themselves locked in a gift shop with robbers. Jake is obsessed with Die Hard and wants to do everything like in the movie.

Strongly associating himself with Bruce Willis' character, Jake tries his best to repeat the plot of his favorite movie, but fails, and the improvised homage to Die Hard turns out to be a disaster. In the end, everyone is rescued by Terry and Boyle, and the entire crew heads to a local bar.

3. The Last Ride – Season 4 Episode 15

Holt announces that the Nine-Nine is about to be shut down, but there is still a chance to save the precinct. The police rush to catch criminals with all their might, for what will save the station if not greatly improved performance?

Boyle and Peralta start investigating a missing bicycle, which quickly turns into a drug trafficking case involving a gang of racers. Jake tries to join the gang, and immediately gives himself away.

But his reckless persistence proves to be justified – in the confusion, Boyle places a bug on one of the bikes, through which they uncover a gang of bike dealers.

2. The Box – Season 5 Episode 14

Almost the entire episode is an interrogation of Philip Davidson. The dentist who killed his colleague not only refuses to cooperate, but also mocks the police, creating a rift in a working relationship.

But it is precisely this rift that gives birth to the ingenious "smart cop/dumb cop" interrogation model. Holt plays the smart one, Peralta the dumb one: he asks random questions, plays a sloth, talks nonsense, and just creates his signature chaos – hilarious and ultimately exposing the criminals.

1. Jake & Amy – Season 5 Episode 22

Towards the end of the fifth season, Jake and Amy finally decide to get married, and the last episode of the season focuses on the wedding preparations.

Of course, not everything goes according to plan: the veil is ruined and there is a bomb in the building. Finally, the day is completely destroyed when Amy's ex-boyfriend shows up as part of the bomb squad.

Wedding chaos is the perfect setting for comedy, and the finale of Brooklyn Nine-Nine's fifth season is no exception – critics have hailed this episode as one of the best in the show's history.
