Some bizarre speculations just keep circulating among Harry Potter fans, and many of us are so tired of them… These five are arguably the most obnoxious and frustrating!
5. Harry Set Nagini Free
This speculation claims that Nagini, Lord Voldemort’s snake, was the serpent little Harry freed from the zoo all the way back in The Sorcerer’s Stone. While a fun theory, it was disproved by J.K. Rowling ages ago, but some people just can’t stop posting it everywhere… Come on. It’s not true. At all. Let’s just move on, please!
4. Snape Was Actually Chill
Many Snape fans claim that he was only mean to Harry because he was a double agent and that was his cover. Sorry, what? Apart from Harry, Snape was mean to literally every other student, and we had quite a few opportunities to see his hateful nature thanks to all the flashbacks. Snape was a genuine proper a-hole. Deal with it.
3. Dursleys Were Actually Chill
Another popular theory suggests that the Dursleys were only mean and aggressive because they’d lived back-to-back with a Horcrux for years. This holds no water! There’s more than enough evidence that the Dursleys were messed up in many other regards, and the flashbacks prove they were like this even before Harry.
2. Narnian Siblings Founded Hogwarts
There’s never been a bigger and more blatant stretch among the Potterheads than this theory, we don’t think. Basically, some fans claim that the Pevensie siblings from The Chronicles of Narnia founded Hogwarts back in the day. This so-called theory is solely based on the number of the siblings and their respective colors. Come on, now.
1. Dumbledore Was Time-Traveling Ron
One of the most popular theories claims that Albus Dumbledore was none other than Ronald Weasley who had traveled in time to become Harry’s mentor and save the Wizarding World. There’s next to no actual evidence pointing at it, and the idea itself is, while fun, as bizarre as it gets. You wouldn’t think that even after all these years, there would still be people who believe in this theory, but guess what?
Always. There will always be these people.
