Even though Warner Bros.' vision of the Harry Potter universe is still considered one of the best film adaptations in Hollywood history, die-hard fans of J.K. Rowling's universe still have some complaints about the movies.

The thing is, the franchise's production team made a number of mistakes in translating the source material to the big screen, and Rowling purists are still bothered by it.

While the mistakes listed above are pretty bad, to say the least, it's important to note that it's simply impossible to adapt a book into a movie without cutting at least some of the content. Warner Bros. was trying to make the Harry Potter movies as accessible as possible to the new fans, and they were forced to leave some things on the cutting room floor, probably out of fear that the multitude of details from the books might confuse the audience.

However, some of the mistakes found in the movies, such as Harry not fixing his wand, can't be overlooked, as it was simply the result of sloppy work by the screenwriters.

But even with that in mind, it's impossible to hate the movies because the incredible story of the boy who lived still looks and feels great to this day, and no amount of small mistakes can change that.
