If Max’s Harry Potter remake won’t include the most iconic book scenes, what even is the point?

Here are seven scenes every Potterhead needs to see in the reboot.

7. Harry Disguised as Barney Weasley

Bill and Fleur’s wedding is a ray of sunshine in the midst of a very dark time, and the whole thing with Harry attending the event in a ridiculous disguise is a sight for sore eyes. No doubt about it.

6. The Potters’ Daily Life

Movie fans don’t know that Lily and James actually had a cat or that Sirius gave Harry a miniature broom for his first birthday. The reboot needs to fix that and make us all cry with more devastating flashbacks.

5. Firenze’s Divination Lessons

The Golden Trio meets Firenze in the first movie, but this character has been cut from all subsequent installments. The people want to see Firenze’s magnificent Divination lessons ASAP, and who are we to argue with the people?

4. Harry Dealing with His Triwizard Winnings

In the book, Harry first offers the money he won to Cedric’s family. When they refuse to take it, he gives it to Fred and George, who use the winnings to start their joke shop. This wholesome scene needs to make it into the final cut.

3. Ron Being a Proud Gryffindor Prefect

That’s right, Ron follows in Percy’s footsteps and becomes a Prefect. There are so many amazing scenes in the book where he enforces his Prefect authority that it would be a crime not to include at least some of them in the reboot!

2. The Lifetime Quidditch Ban

If you’ve read the book, you remember the scene where Harry and the Weasley twins “attack” Malfoy on the Quidditch field, earning a life-long ban from Umbridge. So much drama and teenage angst have to be in the show.

1. The Unexpected Meeting in St. Mungo’s

We can make peace with being robbed of the whole storyline with Neville being the potential Chosen One, but we at least need to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione stumble upon Neville in St. Mungo’s and find out the truth about his parents.

What would you rather see in the reboot – Neville as the could’ve-been Chosen One or the St. Mungo’s scene?

Only the true Potterheads remember all seven.
