It seems like Marvel has a knack for ruining fan theories.

We all know that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of surprises, twists, and turns. But what happens when the fans themselves try to predict what's coming next?

Well, sometimes they end up being hilariously wrong. Today, we're diving into some of the most intriguing MCU predictions that turned out to be completely wrong.

The Soul Stone

In anticipation of Avengers: Infinity War, fans were dying to know one thing: what was the deal with the Soul Stone?

Fans noticed an intriguing pattern: the first letters of the names of the items that contained Infinity Stones spelled out "TANOS" (T — Tesseract, A — Aether, N — Necklace, O — Orb, S — Scepter).

With the “H” being the missing piece, fans came up with a theory suggesting that Heimdall, the all-seeing Asgardian, held the key to the Soul Stone.

However, when Infinity War hit the theaters, the truth was far from what fans expected. The Soul Stone was revealed to be on the remote planet Vormir, guarded by Red Skull.

After watching the movie, some fans suggested that “H” stands for Hydra or Herr. Schmidt, while others joked that “H” stands for “Hurl your daughter off a cliff.”

New Captain America

The majority of the MCU fans were convinced that Bucky Barnes would become the next Captain America.

However, in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier the new Captain America was announced — Sam Wilson (Falcon).

Many fans were left disappointed. While Sam is a great Falcon, it would make more sense if Bucky would’ve become Captain America. At least, for the simple reason that he is a super soldier, and Falcon is just a human.

Mephisto Mania

WandaVision had the internet buzzing with theories after each episode. One particular theory gained immense traction: fans were convinced that Mephisto, a demonic entity from the comics, was behind all the strange happenings in Westview.

From the odd commercials to the mysterious character of Agnes, everything pointed towards the devilish figure pulling the strings. However, Mephisto never made an appearance, leaving fans scratching their heads.

Now, Mephisto is back in the spotlight, with rumors going around that he's going to appear in Ironheart, and will be portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen.
