We’re ready to see the dynamic duo back on screen.

Summary:

  • Arrow was The CW's superhero action drama based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow.
  • The show starred Stephen Amell as Oliver Quinn, the Arrow, and Emily Bett Rickards as his love interest, Felicity Smoak.
  • The on-screen lovebirds will reunite for the first time since the series ended for the movie Calamity Jane.

There is no doubt that the love story between Oliver Quinn and Felicity Smoak has been the one thing that has kept fans glued to Arrow, even at times when the show has lost its appeal. Great casting choices and the chemistry between Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards over the years definitely paid off in the long run.

Through thick and thin, through life and death, former playboy and bloody vigilante Oliver Quinn and quirky computer genius Felicity Smoak chose each other, breaking fans' hearts and making everyone believe in the power of true love. The only thing that kept them apart was the series finale... and not for long.

Though Arrow ended in 2020 after an 8-season run, the actors continue to stay in touch and never miss a creative opportunity to get back together. The new Calamity Jane movie, which hits theaters in February, is the perfect setting for a great collaboration.

The film, which will premiere both digitally and in theaters on February 2, will take viewers back to the Old West. It will follow the story of Calamity Jane, portrayed by Emily Bett Rickards, who must break out of prison and seek justice for the death of Wild Bill Hickok, who was killed in a poker game.

Stephen Amell;s presence in the movie will be quite limited due to his role as the murdered Wild Bill Hickok, however, he has quite a few scenes in the trailer.

Another important character, Sheriff Mason, who's on a quest to catch Jane and put her back in jail, will be portrayed by Tim Rozon. Though the actor isn't part of Arrow's unexpected reunion, he may be known to viewers as Schitt's Creek's Mutt Schitt.

Following the finale of The CW's Arrow, both Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards have secured some roles. Amell returned to the role of Garrett Kelton for the two-parter Code 8 and appeared on Starz's Heels as Jack Spade. His co-star has taken on the role of Amber on We Need to Talk.

Calamity Jane will be released on February 2, so keep an eye out for the premiere. Until then, you can always reminisce about the good old days of Olicity by binge-watching The CW's Arrow on Netflix.
