Ryan Coogler, an indie-darling turned major Hollywood director, is apparently involved in the Disney+ latest MCU production 'Ironheart'. With Coogler winning big with his 'Black Panther' scoring 3 Academy Awards, his potential involvement in future Disney projects won't come as a surprise.

'Ironheart ' will center on Riri Williams (played by Dominique Thorne ), a young genius who creates a suit of armor rivaling that of Tony Stark's. Despite the character's introduction to Marvel Universe being as recent as 2016, she already flexes quite a loyal fanbase.

Yet the upcoming series won't be Ironheart's first time in the MCU – the character will be introduced in hotly-anticipated 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ', directed by Coogler himself, which explains his involvement with the hero's future.

Not much can be said about Coogler's actual duties on the series. According to Anthony Ramos, who is part of the cast, 'Creed' Helmer is certainly in the creative team, most likely as TV show's producer.

"It's incredible people, Chinaka Hodge, Ryan Coogler and just, like, a dope squad...," actor told US TV's 'Extra'.

'Ironheart' shooting kicks off this June.
