Blue Bloods leaves CBS’ own streaming platform, Paramount Plus, in 10 days. Where is it headed, how to watch it after the exit, and what’s even happening?

Summary:

  • Paramount Plus added a note for Blue Bloods saying the show will leave the platform in May 2024.
  • Only Seasons 1–11 will leave Paramount Plus, and Seasons 12–14 will stay.
  • Hulu features Blue Bloods Seasons 1–9 and could extend its library in May; alternatively, you can watch the show on Prime Video and Apple TV.

On Paramount Plus, Blue Bloods recently received a note saying that the show leaves the streaming platform starting from May 2024. This may sound a bit confusing, especially since Paramount Plus is CBS’ very own streaming platform. Why would CBS shoot itself in the leg; where will Blue Bloods go; and how can you watch it after the show leaves Paramount Plus? Here’s what we know so far.

Blue Bloods Leaves Paramount Plus

First and foremost, not the entire TV show is leaving Paramount Plus. According to the note, only Seasons 1–11 will become unavailable on the platform in May; Seasons 12–14 are staying. But we know what you’re thinking: you can’t only binge the last three seasons, can you? That’s why you’ll need to find an alternative.

Where to Watch All Seasons of Blue Bloods?

Currently, you can watch all seasons of Blue Bloods on Apple TV and Prime Video, but that will likely change when the show leaves Paramount Plus. The show is also available on ION, WE, UpTV, and some other channels. Hulu features Blue Bloods Seasons 1–9, so that platform is your safest bet at this point — and in the future, too.

What Does Blue Bloods’ Exit Mean?

Considering how this isn’t the first switcheroo on CBS’ part — the channel previously removed NCIS LA from Paramount Plus in a similar way — we’re led to believe that they want to “rent out” the show to another platform. NCIS LA is currently available on Prime Video and Apple TV, just like Blue Bloods, so it might play to their benefit.

Alternatively, we could see Hulu temporarily extend its Blue Bloods library from Seasons 1–9 all the way up to Season 12.

Either way, our favorite police procedural isn’t disappearing into the abyss: most likely, we’ll learn more in May. For now, you can rewatch Blue Bloods on Paramount Plus, Prime Video, Apple TV, and Hulu; we’ll see where it goes after the exit.
