Looks like we're sure to get more Moon Knight action, but in what form?

After the nerve-tickling Moon Knight season 1 finale, fans were left scratching their heads as to the possible continuation of the story. On one hand, the creators were clearly touting the show as limited series, meaning it only secured one season. On the other hand, this season has ended with a cliffhanger that obviously hinted that there's more coming.

So, what will it be? A new season, or a movie? It looks like even Oscar Isaac, the actor who portrays the titular character, is left in the dark. He seems to not know how exactly his character will make a return, but he and Marvel are in talks.

According to the actor, the story comes first, and depending on what the story is, the studio will decide on the format, be it another season of the solo show, or maybe a team-up with some other characters in a Marvel movie.

"Whether that's in a group thing or maybe a great idea comes around for a season two or if it's a standalone film or whatever it could be," the actor told Comic Book. "I think it's just approaching it in that kind of way. It's the story first."

Naturally, Isaac was deliberately ambiguous when speaking about Moon Knight's future.

"And with Moon Knight, that was very much about that. It's creating a structure so that every morning when the alarm went off, I couldn't wait to get to the set because I wanted to try something different," he said.

Season 1 ended with yet another Moon Knight personality, Jake Lockley, breaking free and threatening the show's main villain, Arthur Harrow. This happens after Steven Grant and Marc Spector miraculously manage to escape death and defeat Harrow's evil Egyptian god Ammit.

Since that season finale, fans have been rallying for Moon Knight to return in the MCU — either in another season or on big screens. As of now, it's unclear whether the comeback is even confirmed, but, according to Isaac, negotiations about that are underway, which means there is hope for Moon Knight fans to see him once again.

Moon Knight is currently available for streaming on Disney Plus.
