Did Fast X Manage To Restore Vin Diesel & Dwayne Johnson Friendship?
Many fans were surprised by Johnson's unexpected appearance in the movie.
Dwayne Johnson made a name for himself in professional wrestling, but he has become a global celebrity after building a career in Hollywood.
He is now one of the highest paid actors and has starred in cult films including the Fast & Furious series. But at some point he left the project – after falling out with its other star – Vin Diesel.
Both actors worked in the Fast & Furious franchise, but had a big fight on the set. Diesel and Johnson first met while filming Fast Five and even then there were rumors that the actors did not get along.
The conflict came to a head in Fast & Furious 8, in which The Rock only agreed to appear on the condition that he didn't share scenes with Vin Diesel.
It is believed that The Rock was angered by Diesel's disrespectful attitude towards the film crew: he was late to the set more than once, forcing his colleagues to wait, and also cut scenes with Johnson to be the main star on screen.
In response, Diesel accused the Rock of not performing his duties properly – allegedly not working at full strength.
However, these are just rumors – the actors did not make many statements to the public. The Rock regrets that the conflict is mentioned in the media at all.
Johnson left the franchise after Fast & Furious 8 and only returned in the spin-off Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw, where Diesel was absent. Vin later tried to get Johnson to come back, but Dwayne said that he got manipulated.
However, unexpectedly for everyone, Johnson appeared in Fast X. The viewers could see him in the scene after the credits.
And even though it was more of a cameo than a full-fledged role, fans agree that even such an appearance is a big positive development for a long-running conflict.
What's more, fans have noticed that Diesel has re-followed Johnson on social media. Apparently, the actors have buried the hatchet and viewers can most likely expect to see them together in the next Fast and the Furious movie.
Unless this paradise is hit with yet another trouble...
