It’s a tiny detail that still bothers him years later.

When La La Land was released in 2016, Ryan Gosling’s dance sequences with Emma Stone became instantly iconic. Epecially the dreamy hilltop scene at sunset that ended up on the film’s poster.

I’ve always loved that moment, so I was surprised to learn that, according to Gosling, one detail from it still makes him cringe.

In an interview with EW, he admitted he wishes he could reshoot the pose where he holds his hand out in a certain way. Honestly, I’d never noticed anything odd, but he says that while he thought it looked cool at the time, now he feels it disrupted the flow of the movement.

He joked that the pose is now known as the 'La La Hand,' while some professional dancers teasingly call it 'hamburger hands' — and I can’t unhear that now.

Despite the scene’s fame, and the fact that most viewers (myself included) never saw anything wrong, Gosling still focuses on that tiny flaw.
