Elizabeth Olsen Once Spoiled Infinity War & Endgame Big Time, and We Never Noticed
We all poke fun at how Tom Holland can't help himself – he just gives us spoilers in practically every interview. Turns out, he is not the only one! Elizabeth Olsen might be even worse.
Back in 2017, the actress did a skit with Josh Horowitz and Aubrey Plaza. In the skit, she describes the events of 2018's Avengers: Infinity War and literally gives it all away! Don't believe us?
Olsen starts off with what Thanos would do – apparently, he would demand to "give him the Infinity Gauntlet." Then she says that Scarlet Witch would be like "I don't think so…" and use her powers on him.
A Twitter user actually did a side-by-side with the movie, and the end result could not look more similar to what Elizabeth acted out a year earlier!
In the movie, Scarlet Witch does come face-to-face with Thanos and begins to take apart his armor.
Was this a coincidental joke or a hint at the actual scene we failed to notice at the time?
That is already a huge spoiler, but Olsen is not done.
Josh says, "Tell me you didn't just ruin the ending of Infinity War," to which Elizabeth replies, "No because everyone dies."
Shocked, Horowitz and Plaza yell, "Lizzie!!!", and Lizzie just goes off, "Thought everyone knew."
Of course, not everyone dies in Avengers: Infinity War (what an overstatement, Elizabeth!) – just half of the universe. However, fans believe that Olsen may have referred to that in her skit. Close enough?
In the movie, the actress' character Scarlet Witch is among the half that dies – but ultimately comes back when the surviving heroes retrieve the Infinity Stones and reverse Thanos' devastating actions.
We are glad that the Marvel writers didn't kill off Lizzie's character for good after what the actress did!
The Marvels comes out this November, and Wanda Maximoff is set to be there. Will Elizabeth Olsen bless us with more spoilers?
Only time will tell. For now, let's wait and see if more Easter eggs are discovered.
