Millions of 'Game of Thrones' fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the recently announced series centered around Kit Harrington's character, and it looks like this show just got even better.
After HBO's biggest show ended in 2019, fans were greatly disappointed by the underwhelming finale, accusing George RR Martin and the show's creators of ruining their beloved fantasy saga. And after the network announced that they would be expanding the franchise with prequels, viewers were assured that this ridiculous finale would forever remain canonical and their favorite actors would not reprise their roles in the near future. But it looks like HBO has already changed its mind, officially announcing that a solo Jon Snow is in development.
And it gets even better, thanks to Emilia Clarke, known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the original series, who seems to have revealed some pretty big news about the upcoming project.
"He has told me about it. And I know it exists. It's happening. It's been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he's in it from the ground up. So, what you will be watching, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington," Clarke said to BBC.
Yes, it seems that Harrington has decided to move behind the camera for a bit, assuring that his famous character will get material worthy of the actor's talent. While this is certainly a bold move for the actor, fans are still wary of his mental health issues developed under the pressure of filming 'Game of Thrones'.
"To me it's still not happening, that show drove Kit to therapy. No worries Kit, Connecticut is still here if you need therapy again." – @kitsnowdrag.
And some people still can't get over the fact that the finale of the original series was so disappointing, hoping that Harrington will somehow fix it in an upcoming series.
"I hated the end of this series when they killed the queen mother of three dragons Khaleesi. I hope they edit the script and Khalesi comes back alive," – @Abusin_Mario.
