The writer and executive producer of House of The Dragon, Sara Hess, teased that in season 2 of the show we will be able to see another side of Daemon Targaryen as well as more of his relationship with Princess Rhaenyra.

While House of the Dragons fans obsess over the rogue prince Daemon Targaryen, the creators of the show promised to give fans more of him and his relationship with Rhaenyra in the second season. In her interview with The Hollywood Reporter Sara Hess explained that the writing for season 2 is still in progress and the creators want to dig into the nature of the relationship between Daemon and Rhaenyra Targaryen, something many House of The Dragon fans give the thumbs up to.

In season 1, we've seen many time jumps which made it harder to get intimately acquainted with every individual character but gave a good background for the following civil war called the Dance of the Dragons. Season 2, however, is shaping up to happen in quite a tight timeframe given the Dance of the Dragons has already started to unfold.

A Subtle Cersei Callback on House of the Dragon You Might Have Missed

Two of the main participants of this war, Daemon and Rhaenyra Targaryen, have been the subject of internet fan discussion for a long time since their first appearance in episode 1. No one could miss the undeniable chemistry between an adolescent princess and her uncle in the scene where he puts a necklace on her. Since then, both characters went through a lot, but they seemed to carry their forbidden – not for Targaryens – desire for each other through the years, thus making their relationship the most slow-moving and well-developed in the series.

No wonder, Daemyra fans went bananas when the couple reunited – yes, they had sex – and got married in episode 7 of the show. However, after that, we've only had a glimpse of their marital relationship in episode 8 which was mostly focused on the fading King Viserys. Years and two sons later, the couple still seems in love and standing strong for one another. They barely spoke, but constantly touched each other throughout the episode.

GoT's Most Brutal Tradition Alive and Well in House of the Dragon

In season 2, the couple will fight the Hightowers for the Iron Throne. Will we be able to get a glimpse of Daemyra domestic life? Will Daemon help his wife become the Queen of Westeros? The pairing fans certainly hope to find answers in season 2.
