Volume 1 of 'Stranger Things' season 4 premiered on Netflix on May 27, with the final two episodes to follow on July 1.

Warning: the following article contains spoilers for season 4 of 'Stranger Things '

Season 4 of 'Stranger Things' is yet to conclude, but fans are already disappointed because of several characters who used to get the spotlight being sidelined in the new chapter of the story.

These characters are Jonathan, who is struggling with his long-distance relationahip with Nancy; Will, who's been feeling like an unwanted third wheel; and, surprisingly, Mike, who, according to fans, was just there.

The focus of season 4 indeed appears to have shifted to other characters, mainly Eleven, Max, Lucas, Dustin, and the chaotic duo of Steve and Robin.

Some people, however, argue that it has been long overdue for other characters to step in and deliver.

For instance, when it comes to Will, one has to admit that a significant part of the 'Stranger Things' lore was largely about him.

Why even have the other characters, then, other people object? The only hope for this camp is that volume 2 brings Will, Mike and Jonathan back on track.

Besides, Will, Mike and Jonathan appear to not be the only ones who fans think did not get justice in the new season.

Volume 1 of season 4 has finally revealed the origin story of a new main villain, Vecna, who turned out to be the mysterious subject 001 from the laboratory where Eleven had her powers experimented on. Later on July 1, we will get to know how the story concludes – or, more precisely, how it evolves into another season.
