We love you, Chris Evans, but Austin Butler is the perfect fit for the Human Torch role in Fantastic Four – at least according to this epic fan art.

It was recently reported that Austin Butler, known for his role in the film Elvis, may be in talks to play the Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie. The artist Clements.Ink was inspired by this news and created fan art depicting Butler as the superhero Johnny Storm.

It's no secret that Chris Evans ' take on Johnny Storm is now considered nearly iconic by some of the Marvel fans.

But when it comes to the role of the Human Torch in the upcoming Fantastic Four, many fans believe that Austin Butler is the perfect fit. This fan art showcases Butler as the fiery superhero, and it's clear that he has the charisma and charm to bring the character to life on the big screen.

While Marvel Studios has not yet announced the full cast for the film, which is set to be released in 2025, there have been rumors that Jodie Comer will play Invisible Lady/Sue Storm and Diego Luna will play Mr. Fantastic/Reed Richards.

Butler has recently gained recognition for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the biopic Elvis and will also be featured in the upcoming film Dune 2, where he will play the villain Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. It's not surprising that Marvel Studios may be interested in working with Butler after the string of successful performances resulted in major Oscar buzz for the young actor.

However, some fans are not all that impressed with this potential MCU casting.

"I don't know what everyone's thinking trying to get Austin Butler for the Human Torch. He was great in Elvis, but he just doesn't look like the right fit for the role to me," one of the fans suggested.

Another fan brought up a rather valid question of Johnny's age in canon.

"I don't think Austin Butler is the right choice for the Human Torch. He's way too old for the role. Johnny Storm should be around the same age as Peter Parker, not in his late 20s or early 30s even."

Many Marvel fans are hoping that John Krasinski, known for his role in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, will play Mr. Fantastic, though Krasinski has stated that his cameo in the Doctor Strange sequel was a short-term deal and he will not be continuing in the role. The Fantastic Four movie will be directed by Matt Scheckman (WandaVision) and is set to have its world premiere on February 14, 2025.
