Giancarlo Esposito Gives Update on 'Mandalorian' Season 3 Premiere Date
Disney+ biggest show 'Mandalorian' might premier its third season as soon as this summer, Giancarlo Esposito said.
Actor, famous for his turn as Moff Gideon in the show's previous chapters, revealed the release window at a recent interview on The Rich Eisen Show.
"You'll get it soon. You'll get it soon ... I got a little few things to do in regards to that, to put some finishing touches on what I do, but I believe it will be sometime this summer. No date set yet, but coming soon", actor said.
According to Disney+, third season wrapped its principal filming this past March, so everything might really be ready for release. Yet, this turn of events sounds a little bit unlikely. Streaming service is releasing two 'Star Wars ' shows this summer – 'Obi-Wan Kenobi ' on May 27 and 'Andor ' in August, so the horizon is already pretty crowded.
Given that previous seasons of 'The Mandalorian ' were released in the fourth quarter, just in time for the Christmas holidays, it looks like Disney+ already has a tried-and-true release strategy for the fan-favorite bounty hunter story.
As much as we'd like to get 'The Mandalorian' Season 3 as soon as possible, facts speak for themselves – despite Esposito's theories, fans might wait a little bit longer to meet Baby Yoda again.
