Here's a hint: this actor ended up having purple skin and a certain love for making people go extinct.

We could have had Josh Brolin as Batman instead of Ben Affleck, should things have gone a bit different in the past.

Brolin revealed the fun fact himself during his appearance on Josh Horowitz's podcast 'Happy Sad Confused'.

According to the actor, he was among the candidates to wear the iconic black cape in the 2016 movie 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice'. But director Zack Snyder ended up casting Ben Affleck for the role.

"Honestly, that would have been a fun deal," Brolin said. "And maybe I'll do it one day when I'm 80!"

Back at the time, he admitted, the idea felt risky to him, which is why he even questioned himself whether he is going to be "the guy who's gonna make it all fail".

Funnily enough, another character was awaiting Brolin to join him on a killing spree in another cinematic universe. Instead of landing the role of the caped crusader, Brolin portrayed MCU 's Thanos, the Mad Titan who unleashed his views of justice and balance in the two movies that finalized the story of the Avengers – 'Infinity War ' and 'Endgame'.
