'Hacks' Season 2 Premieres in May, Here's What to Expect
HBO Max's biggest comedy series of 2021 is getting a new season this May. Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actress Gene Smart will return to her role as an aging stand-up diva.
Female buddy-series explores the relationship between young comedy writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) and legendary comic Barbara (Smart). The first season proved extremely popular with viewers and critics alike, so the second season was just a matter of time.
However, something will definitely change in story's next chapter – leading actresses will be joined by 'Agents of SHIELD' Ming-Na Wen and 'Lady Bird' Laurie Metcalf. The involvement of such heavyweight actresses in the series can only mean one thing – HBO Max executives are more than confident that the second season will rock just as hard as the first did.
Recently released trailer gave us a sneak-peak of what's to come – looks like the duo's adventures on the road will certainly bring some more uncomfortable situations, crazy jokes and candid confessions.
