Preparation for a new role can sometimes be challenging for an actor, as it may require a lot of research. But some actors, apparently, find themselves way too immersed.

Rewatching all Star Wars movies in order to prepare for a role in the upcoming Disney Plus 'Obi-Wan Kenobi ' series? Try better: rewatching all movies and animated series for the sake of character research.

That's exactly what Hayden Christensen did before putting his Darth Vader mask back on for 'Obi-Wan Kenobi', according to EW exclusive.

"They did a lot with these characters in those shows. And they did further explore the relationship. There was interesting stuff there to learn about. It was great fun getting to go back and re-immerse yourself in this world that just continues to grow and become more and more vast," Christensen told EW, revealing that he binged 'The Clone Wars' and 'Rebels'.

This kind of dedication is something fans can certainly relate to.

They don't only relate to it – they respect it, because, let's be honest, Christensen was not obliged to dive that deep.

Ouch, though.

'Obi-Wan Kenobi' is set to stream on May 27 on Disney Plus, and this is not the only Star Wars series in which Christensen will get to pick up the laser saber again. The actor will also be a part of the upcoming show 'Ahsoka ', dedicated to one of the animated characters in the Star Wars universe. So maybe Christensen was very right to binge the animated series all along.
