'Hellraiser: Revival' Sets New Rules for Horror Games — Fans Can’t Ignore It

Players welcome the shift from typical horror game formulas.
Horror fans, rejoice — the original pain icon is back. Doug Bradley, who defined Pinhead in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser films, returns to the role after nearly 20 years. But this time, it’s not a movie — it’s Hellraiser: Revival, a single-player survival horror game for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
Players step into Aidan’s shoes, racing to save his girlfriend by unlocking dark powers of a golden puzzle box: the Genesis Configuration. Summoning the box also unleashes Pinhead and his Cenobites.
Bradley voices the sadistic Hell Priest in a game co-created by Barker, who promises a story both grotesque and seductive. With cults, chains, and horrors, Hellraiser: Revival drags players into a labyrinth of pain.
Fans are already hyped, writing under the trailer:
"Finally a game based on a horror movie that is not a crappy multiplayer only game. Hats off to Saber Interactive :)"
"Hopefully this opens the door to more single player horror games based on movies."
"Holy crap! This is so unexpected. Singleplayer survival horror Hellraiser game and it looks damn good?! I need it!"
