Throughout its super successful 9-season run, How I Met Your Mother has introduced several memorable characters, each with their distinct quirks and personalities.

One of these characters is Victoria, Ted Mosby's on-again-off-again girlfriend. But while many fans remembered her as sweet and charming, upon rewatching the show, it has become evident to some that Victoria's behavior was way more annoying than they recalled.

Victoria, portrayed by Ashley Williams, is a pastry chef who first appears in season 1 as a love interest for Ted Mosby, whom she meets at a wedding. Although they quickly hit it off, their relationship faces many challenges, including Victoria going away to Germany and Ted's complicated relationship with Robin Scherbatsky.

Victoria's character is portrayed as sweet, charming, and nurturing, and she quickly became a fan favorite.

But while many viewers may have fond memories of Victoria, some discovered upon rewatching the series that she's not as endearing as we once thought. In fact, some argue that she's quite annoying – to the point where they feel like skipping episodes that include her. The reason behind it? Well, there are a few.

Firstly, according to feedback from fans, Victoria has undergone a character transformation throughout the seasons (and not in a good way). Many fans initially enjoyed her character in season 1, but by season 7, they found her to be overly sarcastic, particularly with Ted. The shift seemed so drastic that some even referred to her different iterations as "Victoria V1" and "Victoria V2."

Secondly, viewers felt like she was judgmental and controlling after she asked Ted to stop being friends with Robin as it's unfair for her to impose her will on Ted and demand that he cut ties with someone he cares about.

Although some acknowledge that she does have a valid point when she expresses concern, and it's understandable that she may feel insecure, they also note that the way this issue is handled can come across as childish or petty.

And finally, Victoria is prone to making rash decisions without considering the consequences – like when she decides to leave her fiancé on the day of the wedding and run away with Ted, asking him to deliver the farewell note. While it's admirable that she follows her heart, her actions can come across as reckless and selfish, leaving the audience wondering if she's really the right match for Ted.

Though Victoria's character certainly has positive traits, she has also made some mistakes. As viewers, it's important to sometimes re-examine the characters we love and acknowledge their flaws and shortcomings. In doing so, we can appreciate the complexity and depth that makes them truly human.
