The Amazon Prime show is known for pushing some boundaries when it comes to graphic content, but it looks like the show's creators were intent on pushing them even further in the upcoming third season.

The adult superhero series detailing Willam Butcher's (Karl Urban ) struggle to get his revenge on the villainous superman- like Homelander (Anthonny Starr) proved to be a blast with audiences, and huge amounts of blood and gore was certainly crucial to 'The Boys ' success. With 'Supernatural ' star Jensen Ackles joining the crew as the first ever supe Soldier Boy, all the eyes are on the third installment of the saga.

However, it seems that showrunner Eric Kripke tried to push Ackles a little further than the actor was willing to go. In a recent interview for Entertainment Weekly, Ackles talked about his initial reaction to one of the Soldier Boy scenes in the original script.

"As a father of three, and a son and a husband and a self-respecting human being, I can't do this. I didn't know where my line was, but you found it," Ackles said during a phone call with Kripke.

The scene in question has not been disclosed, but many believe it has to do with the 6th episode of the upcoming season, titled 'Herogasm'. This particular episode would be adapted from 'The Boys' eponymous comics spinoff, featuring many controversial scenes, including Hughie Campbell being sexually assaulted by Black Noir and Soldier Boy's account of having sex with Homelander every year in an attempt to get into Seven. Yes, fans are definitely in for a treat.

Some fans already suspect that Ackles refused to film a sex scene with Anthony Starr, but are not prepared to accuse the actor of homophobia, waiting for the episode to air first.

'The Boys' season 3 will arrive on Amazon Prime on June 3, 2022.
