The 95th Academy Awards have come and gone slap-less (thank God!). However, this year's host Jimmy Kimmel could not let anyone forget what happened last year. Changing the subject – ever heard of it, Jimmy?

With everyone wondering if and how the Oscars would address the Slap controversy, Kimmel delivered perfectly. Starting off strong, his first line was, "Give me a second, I'll adjust my danger zone here."

Good thing Will Smith is not allowed back for another 10 years, right?

Throughout the ceremony, the host made several references to the slapcident – each one more hilarious than the last.

Considering that several Irish actors received a nod this year, Kimmel could not help but poke fun at both the Slap and the supposedly violent nature of the Irish, saying that "the chances of another fight on stage went way up."

Be careful, Jimmy, or even your adjusted danger zone might not keep you safe!

Later on, Kimmel roasted the Academy itself and the way it handled last year's events, telling the audience that everyone's safety was a top priority and mentioning that "if anyone commits an act of violence anytime during this show, you will be presented the Oscar for Best Actor and be permitted to give an 18-minute-long speech."

Not much of a warning, is it? Anyone would be tempted!

The only seemingly good thing about last year's drama is that the Oscars have implemented a new security measure – a crisis management year.

We wonder what kind of guidelines they have, though… "See anyone walking angrily toward the stage – take aim"?

The host finished off by stating that if anyone wanted to slap him on stage, they would have the celebrity audience to deal with first. You are a lucky guy, Jimmy, as there were no takers for such a challenge!

There were a few more mentions of the Slap later in the ceremony too. As he invited more people on stage, Kimmel expressed his hope that everything would go "without Hitch."

Then, before the documentary short award was presented, he joked that this part of the ceremony made you "miss the slapping a bit". Talk about walking on thin ice!

Our personal favorite Slap flashback came at the very end. As the credits began to roll, Kimmel was seen adjusting the board that read, "Number of Oscars telecasts without incident: 001." Will the tradition continue next year? Fingers crossed!
