Now that is metal!

'Stranger Things ' has truly become a part of music history as it continues to revive classic rock hits. Now, the show has influenced the authors of these hits themselves, with Metallica playing a tribute to 'Stranger Things' with Eddie Munson from 'Stranger Things' on the stage screens.

Joseph Quinn himself met the band at Lollapalooza backstage, enjoying a jam of 'Master of Puppets' with the rock legends. The band has shared the video of the jam in their YouTube channel.

During their Lollapalooza set, Metallica played several iconic hits, but the end of their performance was marked by a massive firework show and an Eddie Munson tribute – surely, the song was 'Master of Puppets', the exact one Eddie played on the roof in the Upside Down when trying to lure demo bats away from the Hawkins gang.

Quinn himself described his encounter with Metallica as a "story for the grandkids". Fans were absolutely ecstatic about the performance as well – although some of them tentatively hoped that Quinn would show up on stage dressed as Eddie.

Metallica members also shared their joy of the performance and praised the Duffer brothers for the role they designated for the 80s music in their show.

"It's an incredible honor to be such a big part of Eddie's journey and to once again be keeping company with all of the other amazing artists featured in the show," the band posted on Instagram.

Fans were understandably beyond ecstatic, seemingly willing to even accept Joseph Quinn as the fifth Metallica member and commending the band for embracing everything that's happening indeed very gracefully. The new generation of fans, introduced to Metallica songs through 'Stranger Things', certainly helps prolong the band's legacy.

"Metallica continues to be accessible, transparent, and always takes the time to celebrate their fans. These guys are legends and still as down to earth as ever," as one of the band's fans put it.

With the fifth and final season of 'Stranger Things' being around a year away, it would seem that the Duffers might as well bring back many more classic bands and songs that the 80s kids loved. However, the premiere date of season 5 is yet to be scheduled.
