NCIS Franchise 1000th Episode

Previously, NCIS showrunners Steven D. Binder and David North teased the exciting storyline for the franchise's 1000th episode:

“One of our own beloved characters is going to end up in grave danger, and you’re going to see all of the different franchises brought into this in a little bit of a different way. <...> There’ll be a personal storyline, and this one will circle around Director Vance,” they said.

Now there is another little piece of information available. It turns out that the personal storyline that will focus on the director will also include his son, Jared. Though the details of this crisis are unknown and will likely remain a surprise until the very day of the episode's release, there is one curious detail that TVLine has shared.

Jared Vance has been recast for the third time. Previously portrayed by Khamani Griffin, who appeared in season 6 of the show, and Akinsola Aribo, who stayed with NCIS for a few years in seasons 9 through 11, he'll become Spence Moore II. The young actor may still be a rising star, but he already has an impressive filmography.

Spence Moore II in We Are Who We Are (2020)

Before landing an NCIS role, Spence Moore II appeared in such TV shows as Superman & Lois as Matteo Mannheim, All American as Chris Jackson, and We Are Who We Are as Danny Poythress. Such a casting choice may indicate a larger role for Jared in future episodes, or simply a nod to his talent.

The actor will make his NCIS debut on Monday, April 15, so make sure to tune in to not miss any exciting plot developments.
