Charlie Day’s hit sitcom has been on TV for twenty years, but you still don’t need that much time to watch it all if you want.

Launched back in August of 2005, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is well and alive with its seventeenth season started on July 9 this year, and it seems like the show is yet to stay with its fans for pretty long.

The series itself, however, doesn’t have episodes with a lengthy runtime, which is a plus for those who suddenly have an urge to binge it in several days.

In total, it will take you around 2 days and 13 hours and 30 minutes to go from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s first episode of the first season to episode 7 of season 17, with one more episode coming on August 20.

‘It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Star and Co-Creator Addresses the Show’s Future

Now that the series has been a constant TV piece for the last two decades, it seems pretty hard for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia to keep up with a myriad of modern shows, and that’s what the series’ production team is thinking about all the time too.

“We never like to have those conversations about what the future of the show is when we finish a season. Because that's when we are like, 'Yeah, I'm done. I can't do this anymore.' It's always good to take a couple months off, and then have that conversation, like, 'Do we want to keep going?’” It's Always Sunny’s leading star and developer Glen Howerton revealed in an interview with the New York Post several months before season 17’s release.

However, Howerton went on to console the show’s fans by saying that no one is thinking about wrapping It’s Always Sunny just yet.

“We’re still having such a blast working with each other. And, there seems to be endless ways to explore the world through these characters. So, we have no intention of stopping anytime soon”, the actor added.

‘It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ Fans Say It’s “One of the Best Comedy Shows of Its Time”

Even though the series might be seen by some as somewhat offensive, it’s always been pretty sunny for It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in terms of the viewership and the audiences’ reactions.

Twenty years after its first season’s release, the show is still a compelling watch for both long-standing fans and modern audiences.

“Easily one of the best comedy shows of its time. It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’ is not heartfelt or endearing like ‘The Office’ or ‘Modern Family .’ In fact, it is the exact opposite. It is rude, crude, and despicable. The gang doesn’t love each other. They hate each other, but they’re stuck with each other”, Redditor your_friendes said in a thread.

“I rewatch it all the time. It's one of those shows that you can watch over and over and get something new out of it/pick up on different things”, LordDragon88 revealed.

“Definitely worth the watch and really doesn't take long to get through as episodes are short, seasons are short as well”, drewbles82 commented.
