Have you celebrated National Superhero Day? Do you even know its roots?

A new pic of Jensen Ackles ' Soldier Boy seems to give a sarcastic nod to 'Captain America: The First Avenger' – and Marvel's lovely initiative to celebrate the National Superhero Day on April 28.

In a dramatic origin story of this holiday that you most likely did not know, it turns out it was the Soldier Boy who had to be celebrated on this day. Don't believe it? It's actually an executive order. Look it up.

But boy was Ackles' character humble to let other superheroes join in on the celebration. Particularly, he generously allowed a certain Marvel Avenger to take some inspiration from his look.

Each time you celebrate National Superhero Day on April 28, honor the man who established it and remember that it was supposed to be Soldier Man Day. Oh wait, or is it Soldier Boy? Yep, definitely this guy's very own day. Yay!
