It appears that John Krasinski has decided to give up directing 'Fantastic Four', possibly handing the honor over to actress and director Bryce Dallas Howard.

After Mister Fantastic's (Krasinski) recent appearance in 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness', fans finally got a confirmation that Marvel's beloved superhero team will eventually join the MCU. Given some of the rumors and Krasinski's success behind the camera in 'A Quiet Place', many fans assumed that 'The Office ' star would helm the upcoming 'Fantastic Four ' film, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

According to 4chan, the 'Jurassic World' actress is rumored to be in final talks to direct the MCU film, with Krasinski starring and executive producing. Howard will possibly star too, most likely in the role of Reed Richard's wife Sue, also known as the Invisible Woman. Krasinski and Howard will develop the film together, with full support and coordination from Marvel Studios.

Howard is currently straying away from acting towards the directing career, helming a couple of episodes of 'The Mandalorian ' and the incredibly well-received episode of 'The Book of Boba Fett'. The actress has a strong working relationship with Disney, given how she also signed on to direct a remake of the 1986 film 'Flight of the Navigator' for the studio.

Fans on Reddit are very excited about this possible director's choice, praising Howard for her excellent work in directing characters in a galaxy far, far away.
