Marvel fans frequently take issue with some casting decisions, but this one seems to be quite nonsensical to them if true.

There is a chance that the Marvel Cinematic Universe might welcome a new actor for a villain role in Ironheart... and it could be Sacha Baron Cohen.

No matter how bizarre you think it is, the rumor, shared by Twitter account MCU Status, claims that Baron Cohen will portray a "version of Dormammu" in the upcoming Riri Williams solo show.

"In the comics, Parker Robbins, aka The Hood uses magic that is discovered to originate from Dormammu," the unconfirmed rumor says.

Fans cannot quite wrap their minds around the possibility of Baron Cohen joining the MCU, especially in the role of The Hood. Naturally, a lot of people started joking about Borat — Baron Cohen's most iconic role. According to fans, it's challenging to imagine that Baron Cohen, albeir a talented and versatile actor, could be a good choice for portraying a Marvel villain.

"Worst Marvel Show to Ever Exist": Fans Absolutely Hated She-Hulk Finale

However, some fans fear that the casting rumor might turn out to be true because of one particular reason.

"This is so random and out of left field that I could totally see this as true lol. Like, who would even think of making this a rumor of all things. That's what makes it believable," Redditor SacreFor3 said.

However, some people are ready to give Baron Cohen's anti-hero a chance, because he is, after all, an experienced actor that can do dramatic roles, even though the majority of movie lovers might know and love him for his work in the Borat franchise.

According to Reddit user cane-of-doom, this might mean that Ironheart is going to have a lot more surprises in store than one might expect.

"Wait... what if Riri's going to be in the Midnight Suns? I mean, her show's connection to the supernatural might not be anecdotal. She might end up more firmly established in that corner that the Avengers/Young Avengers side. That would be interesting, and, after all, Iron Man is part of the team in the new game. I had never considered it a possibility," the user suggested.

Harrison Ford Is Joining Marvel as Another Actor's Replacement

Other rumors have also suggested that Baron Cohen might play The Thing, and not The Hood, in the MCU. However, none of the allegations have been officially confirmed yet.

Ironheart is set to premiere in late 2023 on Disney Plus, with the exact release date to be scheduled later. The show will consist of six episodes, and will be a part of Phase 5 of the MCU, following the adventures of Riri Williams a.k.a. Ironheart — a teen prodigy who managed to create with the Iron Man-like suit of armor on her own.
