It looks like a new 'Barbie' meme is coming.
If you are really curious about the plot of the upcoming 'Barbie' movie, Ryan Gosling, who portrays Ken, got you… or not.
"Whatever Barbie says is exactly right," he told ET. "It's not what you think it is, unless it is. And then you know what it is, but I don't think that's what you think it is. Wait, what are we talking about?"
Fans cautiously pointed out that Gosling's insight into the movie's plot was not exactly helpful. However, the weird description did get them curious.
"I think it's a highly satirical comedy. In the same vein as the Barbie girl song." – @DuneAwakens.
While some people try to guess the tone of the upcoming movie, others have simply turned Gosling's bizarre take on the plot into a meme.
"It matters not what you've done but what you do with what you've done for others." – @mondaymochapot.
It's likely that Gosling is merely trying to mess with the viewers, basically mixing up the reality of the 'Barbie' movie and the real world. After all, it does seem that the creators are on a mission to make 'Barbie' into something we don't really expect it to be. Many people have already suggested that the film is going to combine the tones of 'The Truman Show' and 'Josie & The Pussycats'.
Even though we have only been presented with vividly pink and rainbow-ish official sneak-peeks, it seems that 'Barbie' will definitely have something to surprise us with. In order to find out, we have to wait until it premieres in theatres on July 21, 2023.
