Only a few months until we (hopefully) see the game of revenge played out to the end.

One of the latest cultural phenomena, Squid Game is still the most watched series on Netflix. No wonder, then, that when the second chapter of the show arrived this December, fans cleared their schedules to finally see what else is on Gi-hun's mind and how he will tear down the gaming empire in South Korea.

Unfortunately, viewers never got to find out because season 2 ended on a major cliffhanger and now we are all dying in anticipation of the final chapter of the franchise.

Lucky for us, Netflix just revealed when it's coming. So mark your calendars, because Squid Game season 3 will premiere on June 27.

Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Netflix right now.

What Fans Expect From Season 3

Well, the first thing the audience literally demands is for the games to finally stop. And they have a point. For now, there are two full seasons focusing on the games, but the second season should have been about Gi-hun making progress in taking down those responsible for the murderous form of entertainment.

So what the fans want to see in season 3 is the rebels to finally stop the madness and free the people whose lives are threatened. But it’s not all, of course.

Is Player 246 Really Dead?

There's an interesting fan theory on Reddit about the fate of one of this season's players. We spend some time getting to know Player 246 (Gyeong-seok) and his life situation. And how he is connected to this season's assassin 011 (No-eul).

For what purpose? To just kill him and be done with it? The fans are sure that there's more to the story and that he'll be alive in the end and saved by guard 011.

Who Is Player 100, Really?

Another fan theory revolves around Player 100. He was one of the first people to show Gi-hun that he didn't like him, and more importantly, that he didn't trust him. He soon became the leader of the group demanding that the game continue.

The fans thought he was acting suspiciously. And the reason? According to the theory, he is probably one of the former VIP's of the show. Season 3 might have to address that as well.
