Bold Squid Game Fan Theory May Have Unveiled Season 3’s Wildest Plot Twist
The violent game’s rules will probably reach those who previously enjoyed the show.
Squid Game ’s second season came as a refreshing continuation of the story, proving that there’s a need for some big shifts in the initially accepted rules, but twists and turns in the show’s third and final instalment are likely to get even more game-changing.
The second season left the story on a high note, with the surviving characters now having to face two more cruel games before only one of them will reach the multi million prize.
While some potentially strong contenders were killed off quite quickly, others, who have already proven themselves to be a loose end, are surprisingly still there; a viral fan theory suggests that there’s nothing accidental in it.
Fans Are Pretty Suspicious About Player 100’s Past
In Squid Game’s second season, Player 100 is quick to show his dislike towards Gi-hun, becoming a frontman for another group that aims to survive and take the prize. Despite his very active resistance to the rising rebellion, Player 100 is obviously a weaker contender among the majority of the surviving participants since he’s way older than them and most likely wouldn’t last that long anyway.
However, a wild fan theory has an explanation for the matter stating that Player 100 might as well be Squid Game’s former VIP. Naturally, such a plot twist would make a lot of sense.
“He is the largest in debt indicating that maybe he came into a lot of money and gambled it away. This is also supported by the theory that he is completely calm during all of the games and wants to keep playing. Almost knowing like he knows what he's in for,” Reddit user Competitive_Rub_8086 explained.
Not everyone agrees, but many people do see the point.
“Perhaps he's working for the front man in order to make sure the games don't end and people keep voting to keep playing, so he's kinda another agent working for the organisation,” suggested Redditor olivierbl123.
Player 100’s Plot Twist Can Bring Squid Game’s Other Compelling Story to the Light
The theory that yet has to be proven or debunked by the show itself is actually a good idea that would help Squid Game highlight the other and so far hidden side of the games. If Player 100 is in fact a former VIP that for some reason ended up struggling to survive himself instead of watching others do the same, the show will prove that even the privileged aren’t safe in there and tables can turn very radically.
This narrative will dive more into the political aspect of the story rather than the social one that’s been in the forefront this entire time, but it’s still a potentially good turning point in the complicated system which might have just trapped one of its creators.
