That’s probably the case for HBO’s Silicon Valley that made fun of, well, actual Silicon Valley’s tech billionaires by introducing a group of aspiring engineers who reside in a business incubator working on their start-up projects.
The show was praised multiple times throughout its run of six seasons and even got nods from the Emmys, but still was nothing impressive for those who Silicon Valley used for its inspiration.
As a result, the show’s lead Kumail Nanjiani somehow became a witness of Elon Musk’s rant about the show’s most random detail.

It seems like the show didn’t really stick to the truthful representation of all ups and downs in billionaires’ lives, and its not so posh parties were what disappointed Musk the most.
”He didn’t like the show. He was like, all the parties I go to are much cooler than these parties. I was like, yeah man, you’re one of the richest people in the world. We’re, like, losers on the show. Of course your parties are better than my parties”, Nanjiani revealed during his recent appearance on Mike Birbiglia’s Working It Out podcast, recalling his encounter with Musk at some event earlier.

The billions-worthy giant tech has had a major shift in his reputation in recent years after numerous scandals involving Musk’s name and also his role in the world politics, so it’s kinda expected to see Silicon Valley’s fans taking Musk’s words with a grain of salt.
“Elon Musk not liking something is some of the highest praise something could receive”, Redditor wizardrous replied to the news in a thread.
