Taika Waititi Confident Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher is "Best Villain Marvel Ever Had"
As of now, we only got to see Christian Bale's villain in Thor 4, Gorr the God Butcher, in merch.
Director behind 'Thor: Love and Thunder ' Taika Waititi is confident that Christian Bale is going to top every other Marvel villain as Gorr the God Butcher in the upcoming movie.
Waititi was quite boastful about every character he has in 'Love and Thunder', but the dark side he assembled for the movie seems to be his favorite.
"It's a great, really fun, weird little group of heroes, a new team for Thor with Korg, Valkyrie and The Mighty Thor," Waititi said. "And, in my humble opinion, we have probably the best villain that Marvel's ever had in Christian Bale," the director told AP News.
There is little info that could actually back Waititi's bold statement, given that the first trailer for 'Love and Thunder' did not provide even a sneak peek at Gorr the Butcher. There was also no character poster; the only glance at Bale's character was provided via toy merch, and fans have already questioned his look.
Still, Marvel fans seem to share Waititi's confidence.
Even though Gorr the Butcher definitely has a lot of villains to compete with.
We can only wait until 'Thor: Love and Thunder' premieres on July 8 to see for ourselves.
