Sometimes it's just good to revisit old stories.

The Big Bang Theory is one of those shows where the side characters are just as important as the main cast. Of course, the focus is on the lead characters, but the secondary ones really help to develop the story better.

One of those characters was Ramona Nowitzki, played brilliantly by Riki Lindhome. She first appeared on the show in season 2. It was really interesting and quite fascinating to see someone so eager to be romantically involved with Sheldon. Even though she didn't explicitly state it, it was pretty obvious.

Over time, Ramona became very clingy, even making sure that Sheldon devoted all his time to her, covering it up with the fact that he needed no distraction from his work.

When Sheldon finally realized that having Ramona by his side was for the worse, he got rid of her and we never heard from her again. Until season 10.

She was back on the show, still trying to get Sheldon to fall in love with her, but covering it up even more, knowing that he had already been in a committed relationship with Amy for a long time now.

Ultimately, she tried to make her jealous, and that even worked for a slightest moment. Before Ramona crossed the line.

She kissed Sheldon, can you imagine that kind of audacity? But the writers were actually creative enough to make that happen. As it turned out, that particular thing was actually the thing that made Sheldon realize, as he said, that he only wanted to be kissed by one woman – Amy.

So in an interview with TV Guide, the show’s creator Steve Molaro said that Ramona's return was prompted by Sheldon and Amy's temporary long-distance situation in the same season 10.

"One of the things we thought could be interesting based on that was what would happen if another woman came along while Amy was gone and what would that do to Sheldon as well as his group of friends," Molaro shared.

So thanks to their decision we had Ramona back in the show, and at the end we finally got what we got. The wedding proposal!

This makes us want to rewatch the entire series right now. If you’re just like us, feel free to binge The Big Bang Theory on Max.
