Jason Sudeikis is someone who knows how to draw attention to a show that is already in the spotlight.

In a smart PR move, the Ted Lasso Season 3 cast tweeted out some on-set pictures peppered with heartbreaking goodbyes and some spoilers. Of course, the pictures were quickly deleted, but there's no stopping fans from discussing the leaks.

In one of the tweets spotted by fans of the show, Jeremy Swift, who played Higgins, said goodbye in style – with a dance. He also posted an Instagram story with himself and his daughter Stacey. They both have a plaque in the background that clearly reads "Kansas. Season Three. 8. Higgins."

Another tweet was from Nick Mohammad (Nate). He said goodbye forever #TedLasso and showed a picture of an A4 sheet of paper with the words "Kansas. Season Three. 6. Nathan." So we can guess that there might be some final scenes in the series that take place on Ted's home turf in America. Will everyone come to Ted's place to celebrate his reunion with his son? Of course, this is just a guess. After deleting the tweet, the actor promised no more spoilers.

The 'official' RoyKent account also said goodbye in a very special Roy Kent fashion. "And that's a f****** wrap... and not just on f****** Twitter," the post reads.

The on-set leaks came as the team wrapped up filming Ted Lasso's final season, which was plagued by numerous problems from the get-go. These included an inflated budget and problems with the script, which Jason Sudeikis reportedly asked to be rewritten. Deadlines were missed and fans did not get Season 3 this summer as originally planned.

Ted Lasso aficionados are divided over whether there should be a Season 4, or whether Season 3 should be the end of the show. Some Redditors believe that if the creators envisioned Ted Lasso as a three-season show, then they should stick to their plan.

"Don't extend it to the point where it loses its magic," said one commenter, referring to a situation where the producers want to keep milking the show against all odds.

Another user argued that three seasons is the perfect length because it's impossible to play the "Ted doesn't understand football" card forever.

And one of the biggest reasons for why Season 3 is the perfect time to end the show is that, after all, it is Ted's son who is most important, and Ted needs to go back home to Kansas. "A show about Ted being abandoned by his dad cannot continue with Ted abandoning his son," says one of the commenters.

Season 3 of the Emmy Award-winning Apple TV+ hit series Ted Lasso will be released sometime in 2023.
