Get ready for even more supernaturally entertaining chaos.

As July 28 approaches, Nell Gaiman's fans around the world are getting more and more excited to finally see Good Omens 2 on their screens. Although the wait hasn't been that long since Season 2 was announced and confirmed, the anticipation to see Aziraphale and Crowley back is as high as ever.

There have already been a few bumps in the road for the sequel to Gaiman's supernatural tale, as Amazon Prime Video UK took it upon themselves to spoil one of the most important moments in the development of Aziraphale and Crowley's relationship.

But no matter how angry the show's creator was, the fandom did everything in its power to pretend that never happened, just to experience the shock of it all over again. Even David Tennant and Michael Sheen, who portray the main characters, did not let the mishap ruin their excitement for Season 2.

As David Tennant, who stars as Crowley, stated in his recent interview with SlashFilm, the actors weren't expecting to reprise their roles, but it didn't take much persuading. Both he and Sheen were very happy to jump on the bandwagon and continue telling more stories that Neil Gaiman comes up with.

One of the biggest additions to the show is Gabriel, who drops in on Aziraphale and Crowley completely amnesiac, leaving the two of them with nothing to do but cope.

"It's brilliant in terms of setting these characters off on a new story and taking them to places they didn't imagine they would ever have to go. <...> It's a bit like the odd couple with a kid, or two supernaturals and a baby, something like that. And I think that's the joy, isn't it? If there's characters that you know and love, you just want to spin them into a situation that they've not been in before and sit back and enjoy it," Tennant said.

The story may feel like the best fanfiction you've ever read trying to fill the void in your heart after the end of Season 1, and even the actors wouldn't argue with that. Although he isn't really keen on reading it himself, Tennant is sure that someone in the fandom has already written a very similar story.

If you're as excited as David Tennant to see Good Omens 2 finally hit the screens, check out Amazon Prime Video on July 28. Stay tuned for more news and behind-the-scenes updates!
