There's nothing quite like a great one-liner in an impactful TV or movie moment.

Whether it's an emotional expression of feelings or a funny comment, it can help enrich the viewing experience. However, when it comes to shows with multiple seasons, some lines are so overused that they quickly become redundant and even annoying to the viewers. And there's one line on Virgin River , in particular, that fans find laughable.

Virgin River, a Netflix drama series based on Robyn Carr's novels of the same name, has received countless positive reviews for its heartwarming storytelling, compelling small-town drama, and a good love story. Season 4 delivered a number of twists and turns, leaving fans waiting in anticipation for season 5, which is expected to be released this year.

That said, the romantic series has also received some negative feedback, and fans have been discussing some changes they're looking forward to seeing in the upcoming season.

And as it turns out, if there's one thing fans hope the incoming showrunner will modify is the overuse of some lines. For one, some Redditors have suggested toning it down with terms of endearment, such as "honey" and "sweetheart," specifically between Mel and Jack.

They think it's being used far too often – to the point where it reminds them of a Hallmark movie.

However, that's not all fans demand to be toned down. There is, in fact, one line they think is so tired that it's become borderline ridiculous, and that's "cover for you" or "cover for me."

Now, the reason why this phrase is used so frequently in the series is that most lead characters work together. Even in real life, everyone needs a cover every once in a while. Yet fans have noted that it seems as if in every episode, there is some urgent errand or emergency they need to run off to solve and ask someone to cover for them.

While it's true that using this phrase may be necessary for some specific scenes, there are also many ways it can be avoided. For instance, it can be replaced with another line, or the dramatic events could take place outside of the characters' working hours more often. Or perhaps the reason why people notice this is due to a lack of interesting dialogue. Whatever the case, hopefully, fans' requests will be taken into account, and the next season might just be a huge success!
