The greatest story of cast and fan devotion to their beloved franchise just received a huge update as Warrior Nun is set to create its very own cinematic universe now.

One of the biggest points of frustration for any fan is learning that their favorite franchise is canceled. So many stories and worlds were ruthlessly axed by executives back in their fancy offices, leaving millions of people lost, it’s impossible to count… But what can you do: it’s not like you can make the corps change their minds.

But you most definitely can fight for what you hold dear, and Warrior Nun’s story is the greatest embodiment of that: it’s a story of fiercely loyal fans, actors, and creators who refused to accept the biggest streaming platform’s decision to cancel their favorite show. To be frank, the cancelation decision made exactly zero sense.

Warrior Nun was Netflix ’s highest audience-scored series ever, its second season bragging the best score out of all the platform’s shows on Rotten Tomatoes. With a massive fan base, it was bound to keep its triumphant march — but for reasons still unknown, Netflix decided to cancel the show after S2, thus starting the movement.

It was thanks to months of relentless work of Warrior Nun’s producers and Halo Bearers, its fans, that a while back, the show was officially declared saved. Now, an even more exciting update came: not only will Warrior Nin continue, but it will enter the big screens — and potentially, even have its own cinematic universe!

“I am very happy to announce that Warrior Nun is coming back as a trilogy of motion pictures. <...> Some may ask, ‘Does this perhaps infer that there's going to be a universe being launched of Warrior Nun, which could expand into films and TV series following characters that we already know?’ The answer to that question is yes,” shared Dean English, the executive producer of the series.

Halo Bearers all over the Internet are losing their marbles from excitement. The long and vigorous fight of theirs paid off handsomely, and while many thought that picking up Warrior Nun would be a no-brainer for any other major platform, a full-blown cinematic universe is way more than anyone could’ve even anticipated.

“From being a canceled sapphic TV show to getting picked up with THREE movies and a possible universe expansion. We made history,” wrote X (Formerly Twitter) user giulswannacry.

So rejoice, Halo Bearers, as you have achieved the impossible: reviving the series axed down by Netflix and making it even stronger than before! The fan save of this scale has never been done before, and you might just inspire other fans to fight for their beloved worlds, too. This is an even bigger achievement in our book.
