Who’s Only Murders in the Building S3 Killer? 4 Most Likely Suspects, Ranked
Let's jump ahead of the investigation and try to guess who the killer is.
Only Murders in the Building remains the main ongoing comedy that cleverly exploits the whodunit genre, which is experiencing a new wave of popularity, as well as the general passion for true crime.
And we, as true crime fans, will try to guess who the killer will be this time.
At first it seemed that Kimber, Ben's co-star, was his love interest. The actor apologized to her for something at the party and promised to make things right. So it seemed that Ben had messed up Kimber pretty badly. In addition, Tobert and Mabel discovered that Ben seemed to be romantically involved with the killer.
However, it was then revealed that Kimber and Ben's relationship was professional. So it's unlikely that Kimber killed Ben, but who knows, maybe three amateur detectives will find something else that points specifically to her?
Loretta comes under suspicion because she had the most hostile relationship with Ben. They had a big fight at the premiere, and she even called the actor some pretty rude names.
However, Loretta's candidacy is still in doubt, as her open hostility would be too obvious a motive for murder. Besides, as a struggling actress, she would not kill the star of her production and risk being out of work again.
Dickie is Ben's manager and brother who, at first glance, always supported him. In the end, however, this turned out not to be entirely true.
Dickie was adopted, and during the time he spent with Ben, he got a lot of trouble while trying to set things right in his stepbrother's life. Also, Mabel suspects that it was Dickie who came up with CoBro, and may resent Ben for stealing his idea and generally overshadowing him.
Tobert is a documentarian hired by Ben to film his triumph on Broadway. In the third episode, he helps Mabel try to find out how Ben is connected to a mysterious person.
So far, this is the most likely suspect of all. Tobert interferes with the investigation, just like Jan did in the first season. He may have even killed Ben in order to make his documentary more action-packed and thus more successful.
