Why is Ben Hargreeves Called 'The Schemer' in 'The Umbrella Academy' Teaser?

In the wake of 'The Umbrella Academy ' season 3 premiere, Netflix has released several teasers for every character from both the main Umbrella family and their Sparrow Academy counterparts. The latter appear to be nicknamed, and the way the alternate version of Ben Hargreeves is called in the teasers has sparked speculations among fans.
While the others are dubbed for their abilities or outstanding features, Ben is called "the schemer", even though he has never been known for planning the missions or plotting something devious… until now.
Ben's superpower is his ability to unleash deadly tentacles from within his body. However, it certainly looks like his untimely demise in the original timeline might have prevented us from learning way more about Number Two. Fans, who had no questions about Fei being "the sharp-eyed" or Sloane being "the gravity defier", are now pondering the backstory behind Ben's nickname.
Some believe that Number Two might be on a mission to plot the downfall of Marcus – the Sparrow Academy's Number One. Others are confident that Ben's plans might reach out even further, potentially putting the Umbrella Academy members at greater risk.
The teaser does not seem to be rich in clues regarding Ben being "the schemer" – he is only seen fighting others with his tentacles and brutally punching Five. The show's Twitter account, however, was quite quick to affirm fans' concerns, telling them that being suspicious of Ben is "right".
The extent of Number Two's schemes will be known very soon – season 3 of 'The Umbrella Academy' premieres on Netflix on June 22.
