The Gilded Age Season 2 Premiere

The first season of The Gilded Age entered stage in January 2022, and fans loved it so much that the show was greenlit by HBO for a second chapter. The first episode of season 2 premiered on HBO and Max October 29, bringing back the old money drama of upper Manhattan.

The popularity of Bridgerton has provided the period drama genre with a Renaissance of sorts, so now fans are rallying for HBO to introduce even more period dramas — or at least support the one it already has more.

Will There Be a Season 3 of The Gilded Age?

As of now, The Gilded Age fandom does everything in its power to make sure season 2 won't mark the series' last one. Even though season 2 is only one episode in, fans are urging each other to make sure the second chapter receives the viewership figures it deserves.

Some people, however, believe that the first episode of the second season, titled You Don't Even Like Opera, wasn't the strongest of openers — particularly because it was quite slow. However, who needs to rush when it comes to the upper society intrigues?

So far, HBO has not yet broken silence on a potential season 3 renewal for The Gilded Age. With SAG-AFTRA strike still unresolved, the network might not release any promising updates before the viewership figures for the entire season 2 are available.
