Because fans certainly want it.

As 'Obi-Wan Kenobi ' season 1 wrapped up on Wednesday with an epic finale, emotional fans quickly took to social media to demand that the creators don't stop with just one season.

According to fans, the first season of the Jedi Master-centered TV show was written "with season 2 in mind".

Such ideas are far from being baseless, given that the cast and crew were happy to fuel the expectations with multiple hints. Both Hayden Christensen ( Darth Vader) and Ewan McGregor ( Obi-Wan) said they would be open to coming back for season 2 as there are "more stories to tell".

Some fans surely agree with this sentiment.

"I now want one more season of Kenobi learning the ways of being a force ghost, with heartfelt conversations with Qui-Gon and memories of Kenobi's/Anakin's glory days. That final episode was really good. I'd give this series an 8/10. I wish the older themes showed up in the beginning of the series instead of showing up all of the sudden." – /Timefreezer475.

However, there are a lot of people who think that season 2 would be nothing but an attempt to stretch out the already perfect story.

"Everything here got wrapped up in a nice way. If they do want to go for one, I hope they take a bit of a break and find a story that can equal the emotional highs this had," one fan wrote on Reddit.

Instead of artificially expanding the story, the creators behind 'Obi-Wan' could definitely aspire to find something else to explore. For instance, one fan offered to consider a closer look at The Path, suggesting that it might be a great idea for a spin-off.

The studio is yet to confirm season 2 of 'Obi-Wan Kenobi', as no official statements regarding the future of the project have been made.
